Jobs that don't exist yet
Five roles nobody is hired for today, and the sourced signals behind each one. This page is our reading of the evidence, not a forecast — the difference matters, so we keep saying it.
Every other page on this site describes work that exists: someone is paid for it today, and the numbers come from a survey or a payroll file. This page is different, and it says so up front. Each profile here is a pattern with a signal behind it — something already visible in the labour market that has no job title attached yet. If the pattern holds, a title eventually follows. If it doesn’t, nothing is lost by having watched for it.
The bar for inclusion: a pattern must already be visible in deployed products or hiring data, and at least one public source must describe the pressure that would turn it into paid work. What we refuse to do is attach invented salary figures or growth percentages to jobs nobody has. Where a number would normally sit, these cards say so instead.
Agent fleet manager
No one holds this title yet. The pattern it would run — one coordinator delegating work to a fleet of subagents — is already shipping in software.
Robot fleet supervisor
Every robot that arrives creates people who watch, fix and redirect it. The fleet-scale version of that shift has no title yet.
AI auditor
The build half of AI hiring runs about seven to one ahead of the governance half. Someone has to close that gap, and the role has no settled name.
AI output verifier
The quiet rate-limiter on every agent deployment: a person who can tell when the machine is wrong, at volume, in their own domain.
Agent liability underwriter
When an agent books the slot or signs the order, someone has to price the mistake. No market for that exists yet.
